Absolutely delicious Mexican food! (And I am picky- I am Mexican!) We love the enchiladas, the combo plates, the guac. Great salsa and chips!

My wife had the chicken enchiladas and loved them. I had the taco salad with ground beef and it was good. The prices for the lunch specials can't be beat. The place was packed and that's usually a good sign so I will definitely be going back and trying everything.

Great food! We ordered take out so not sure about the dining in experience, but based on the service for take out I'd imagine it's good! We ordered a burrito which was delicious! The nacho appetizer was also super yummy. We also got the taco plate. No complaints! Will definitely return. Reasonably priced and great service size!

Full disclosure my wife loves Mexican food and this place checks all the boxes. We loved a place called mi casista in Fayetteville North Carolina and that was her favorite place ever. Knowing this, el tapatio makes her happy and I really like their food. They are busy when they should be which tells you a lot. Full disclosure my wife will influence my culinary choices since she thought me how to cook and she has excellent taste. I recommend ordering ahead of time if it is during lunch or dinner rush and bring the goodness home since it is a small restaurant. This place is good

Reasonable prices and good food! The staff is friendly and they do take out or sit down.

First time visiting. Smaller spot with limited seating. Maybe 15 tables. Food was fresh, hot and orders arrived promptly. Seafood chimichanga was simply stuffed with shrimp, fish and scallops. Large beer was indeed large. Service was prompt and efficient. Restaurant was clean and not sticky or weird smelling. The food was tasty and very reasonably priced. We selected this place because of the online ratings. We will return and are happy to rate it well.

We visited El Tapatio for dinner and we were very impressed with the kindness and great service from the staff, the delicious food, and the light-hearted friendliness enjoyed by all of the guests and workers. The restaurant is small and intimate, even so, the wait was only about 20 minutes before we were seated at 6:00...a busy time of day. Though we are visiting Vero Beach from St. Louis, we will come back to El Tapatio when we're in the area again. There are numerous (very) good places to eat in the area, but if you're hungry for Mexican and you're anywhere close, give this cozy, clean, welcoming, venue with a large menu a try; we believe you'll like it as we did!

It had been awhile since we had dinner at El Tapatio, so we invited a friend and decided to check out if anything had changed from our last visit. I have to say we had a better dining experience as far as service goes. We did have to wait about 20 minutes to be seated (arrived at 6pm), and there was a steady line of folks picking up orders to-go. A bigger dining space seems to be in order to accommodate all the patrons, and a designated area to pick up food orders would also eliminate all the congestion at the front of the restaurant. In the meantime, maybe have people picking up orders wait outside and take the orders out to them rather than having so many people shoulder to shoulder inside waiting at the hostess stand for their orders. Once seated we had a wonderful server who was friendly and provided awesome service. We especially appreciate that El Tapatio offers courtesy, endless chips and salsa. The entrees ordered at our booth were the California Burrito, the 2 Item Combo, and the New York Strip. Draft beers were $3 and the 24 oz draft beers were $5. Our entrees were brought to the table within 15-20 minutes of ordering. Everything was fresh and tasty. They do still add a 3% processing fee based on the check subtotal if you are paying with a credit card however if you know ahead of time, bring cash to pay for your meal and the fee will not be assessed. We enjoyed our meals and will be back!

7/16/22 First off I'm glad I found this little restaurant! The place is quite small but it is always packed so that showed that they got something good going on here. The wait wasn't too bad, I only waited 20 minutes to be seated and was served the typical chips and salsa, which didn't miss. I then ordered the carne asada, i was not expecting that big portion of food that you see pictured but it was a lot for a good reasonable price. For those of you seeking some very good Mexican food in Vero Beach I definitely recommend this place!!
